Extended Health Care

Extended Health Coverage (also known as Major Medical) is an important non-taxable employee benefit provided without submitting medical evidence of good health. 

This benefit provides a wide range of coverage to pay for procedures and expenses not covered by the provincial health care programs such as prescription drugs, out-of-country medical emergency, semi-private hospital, ambulance, professional services (i.e. chiropractor), and many others.

The CNLA plan offers a basic plan with a number of plan design options. These options allow the employer to provide coverage that suits the company's budget without compromising on quality care.
