HortProtect can provide auto insurance in all provinces. In Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, we will write the excess coverage required.

The program is designed to provide coverage for vehicles used for your horticultural trades business including fleets (5 or more vehicles). Special deductible arrangements are included so that those insured under the program that keep a large number of vehicles parked in a compound overnight or on weekends can feel more secure in the event of a catastrophic loss.

In order to provide a quote, all we need is:

1. Schedule of all vehicles including coverages and deductibles required, values, radius of operations and use;
2. List of all drivers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, and any convictions;
3. Three years claims history including all losses (claims), amount paid and date of loss;
4. List of attached machinery including description, include value and unit attached to if it is to be insured for physical damage under the Automobile Fleet policy (see Equipment coverage page for more details);
5. Current insurer and policy number as well as expiring premium if available – this will help us to ensure that we are competitive.
